Philips has a new application for a patent: A passive MRAM that will "self destruct" when someone tries to open it.
When you try and physically open the device, magnets inside will destroy the data stored in the MRAM chip.

Not so fast with the "patented" comment.
The status is "patent applied for".
On the PAIR site you can notice that this application claims the benefit of previous applications that have all expired without success. This technology seems identical to the NVE AT-MRAM technology.
